Josh Gaetjen received his B.A. in studio art from Hampshire College in 1994, and his M.F.A. in painting from Boston University in 1998.
His paintings focus on the urban landscape, exploring the interaction among composition, color, light and space.
Gaetjen received an Artist's Resource Trust Grant from the Berkshire Taconic Foundation in 2007 and an Artists Fellowship Grant from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism in 2004.
He has taught at Boston University, the University of Connecticut, Southern Connecticut State University and the Maine College of Art. He currently teaches at Mercy College in White Plains and New York City where he also serves as the Director of the Computer Arts + Design program.
He lives and works in New Haven, CT.
